Best Web Hosting Forums - Web Hosting Chat
I would have to say the best set of Web hosting forums out there today would be the ones found at Web Hosting Chat. True, I might be a little bias because they are a major supporter of this show. The reason I didn’t pick Web Hosting Talk or any of the others out there though is for one simple reason.
I was a big fan of Web Hosting Chat’s friendly nature way before I had anything to do with them professionally. So many other Web hosting forums get a bad name because of a few rude visitors. From my experiences so far, just about everybody on the Web Hosting Chat forums are friendly and willing to help anybody out with a Web hosting problem.
Best Web Hosting Magazine - Ping! Zine
Once again, Ping! Zine was not picked because I have written some articles for them. They were picked because they are the most fun and informative all wrapped into one. In competition with The Web Host Industry Review and the Hosting Standard, they are a breath of fresh air.
Sure, they cover the serious side of Web hosting too. They do all coverage though with a charisma not found in any other Web hosting publication though. What does all this cost you? It is all totally free! That is one of the best parts as well. Reading Ping! Zine is like having somebody walk up to me on the street and hand me a five dollar bill for free. It just doesn’t get any better than that.
Best Hosting Directory - BrowseHosts
In my opinion BrowseHosts is just the best PPC (Pay Per Click) Web hosting directory out there on the market today. They are the best organized and they do not waste your time handing you information you do not need to know. The BrowseHosts Forums are also a nice place to visit if you are looking for another good set of Web hosting forums.
BrowseHosts.com also offers a nice newsletter as well that offers lots of special deals and helpful information.
Best Hosting News - HostSearch
HostSearch has the best selection of daily news on and about the Web hosting world. They also give you the news in a way that makes it a little more interesting as well. They give you more of the story than other Web hosting news sites out there and they do it with style.
It also doesn’t hurt that they have an RSS feed as well. That way all I have to do is plug them right into my feed reader and check it daily. It doesn’t get much easier than that.
Best Hosting Search - Find My Hosting
If you know what you need in a Web hosting account but don’t know where to get it, then Find My Hosting is the place you need to visit. All you need to do is plug in what you need and you are given dozens of options to choose from. They also give hosting customers a chance to give positive or negative feedback about a Web host. This can become very helpful when it comes to choosing a new Web host.
They also have a nice guide for folks looking to move from one Web host to the next that is worth checking out.
Best Web Hosting Book - Lockergnome’s Guide to Web Hosting
Okay so this one DID make it onto the list because I wrote it. Did you expect me to pick something else? After seeing other Web hosting books out there I can tell you that Lockergnome’s Guide to Web Hosting blows them all out of the water. I am not talking down to you or throwing around a lot of words you don’t understand. I am talking to you one-on-one just like I do no this show each and every week.
Web hosting clients can learn what to look for and what to ask about with a Web hosting company. Web hosts can learn about what their customers need to know and what they are curious about. I go through the Web hosting world from head to toe and do a damn good job at explaining just about everything when it comes to putting a Web site Online for the world to see.
