Give Me Feedback

Is there something you want to see me do? Is there something you would like me to add to the Web site? I want to hear your opinions and thoughts on how I can make the Web Hosting Show Web site and podcast even better. So give it to me! Right now I want to add a few new things and provide even more Web hosting information out there, I just don’t know where to start. So what are your demands?

Free Audio Ads on the Show

Did you catch the audio teaser for LoudHosts.com at the beginning of the last Web Hosting Show episode? I want to do this thing more often for everybody and anybody. This is all you have to do. Record yourself saying this:

“Hi this is _________ of __________.com and you’re listening to the Web Hosting Show, the voice of the Web Hosting world.”

Just give me your Name and domain in the blank spaces. Record yourself saying it, then send it to me at mitch@mitchkeeler.com. If it is good enough, it will go at the start of the show. This way I get a little more content, and a few more folks out there get a little more of a plug.

So get to recording (if you want to, can’t twist your arm behind your back) and let me hear what you got.

Hurricane Relief

Just so that everybody knows, I gave $50 to the American Red Cross a few days ago. Now I’m not looking for a pat on the back or a, “Good job, buddy!”. I am just looking for a few more folks to do the same.

While $50 might not sound like a lot, I can tell you it is about one fourth of what I have made in income while running both the Web Hosting Show’s Web site and Mitchelaneous. So no mater if you give $5 or $5,000 dollars, you are doing a good thing in my book.

Monday’s edition of the Web Hosting Show will cover what impact Hurricane Katrina has had on the Web hosting community. From what Web hosts and domain name registars were effected to what the Web hosting industry is doing to help out, I have it all covered.

Donate to The American Red Cross or any other charity that is helping the victims out there. Need to find a good place to start or scared of scams? Check out FEMA’s Web site. They have a long list of charities that are helping.

Award Winning Podcast

I am really excited about getting this award! The Web Hosting Show has received the Editors’ Choice Award from Web Host Magazine and Buyer’s Guide. Getting an award from an establishment that has been around since 1997 is a true honor. Web Host Magazine was once called by the folks at PC World, “One Of The Most Useful Sites Ever”. I can also say I am 99.9% sure that I am the only radio show/podcast to ever receive this hosting honor.

The Web Hosting Show is the brainchild of Mitch Keeler and a podcast of unique talent and skill. According to the Web site, The Web Hosting Show is not just there to help, but to entertain, and it does both with equal zest. At the time of this writing, The Web Hosting Show had 27 podcasts (and counting), and each one offers instructive insight into the hosting industry.

For their fun, sometimes quirky, and always informative, podcasting resource, The Web Hosting Show receives an Editors’ Choice Award for September 2005.

I want to thank everybody over at Web Host Magazine for this award as well as each and every one of you. This award belongs to the listeners of the Web Hosting Show as much as it does me. Without you there would be no show, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
