Site5′s Flashback

Automatic backups for your Web site sounds like a pretty sweet deal, right? Well the folks at Site5 had that in mind when they created Flashback. So what is Flashback? What does it do?

Well I guess the first question that everybody wants answered is what is it. Flashback is a software package developed by the folks at Site5 to do automatic backups of your files. For an example, lets say I changed an image on my Web site. The next day I might want to change it back, but I didn’t backup the original to my computer. Let the Web Hosting Hoopla Begin!

Go check out Hosting Hoopla! The dictionary definition of hoopla is “boisterous, jovial commotion or excitement”. What will be done here that is a little different is I will be covering the “excitement” of the Web hosting industry. Many of the Web hosting news and information Web sites are dull and boring. I want to put a new face on the Web hosting industry that shows how ecstatic it can really be. The Web hosting world isn’t ruled by thousands of nerds in white buttoned up shirts and black ties.

Fighting a Cold

Well the good news is I am just about over this cold of mine. The bad news is while I was busy having 104 temperature last week, I didn’t have a lot of time to work on the Web Hosting Show. Hopefully by Monday I’ll be feeling good enough to get back to my regular schedule. Podcast 52 will be held onto for next week (March 13) and from there on out, we should be back to normal.
