I think there's some confusion about the relationship between our organizations that should definitely be cleared up. We (AIHSP) have spoken with Ben (Hosting Industry Organization) at great length about our interests, and we've agreed in no uncertain terms that our organizations are neither rivals nor working at cross-purposes.

I've personally signed up for Hosting Industry Organization, and Ben's signed up with AIHSP, because we recognize the value each of our initiatives bring to the hosting industry. Our goals are different and complementary. HIO is focused on providing specific services, and AISHP addresses broader-scale concerns in the industry along with services similar to HIO, but not the same.

There's no need for anyone to decide which one is a better choice. Anyone who is interested in seeing people take initiative to make our industry better should take some time to learn about both our initiatives and any others currently underway.

I just wanted to get that out there so everyone understands the relationship between our two organizations is quite friendly. Thanks!
