When you are working in front of your computer for most of the day, where you sit becomes a big part of your life. Web hosting people suffer a lot from this, because no matter if you are a remote tech working from home, or a system administrator in front of a server, you need to stay comfortable. I have even seen some that come with a built in chair base so you can mix the benefits of the ball with the functionality of your normal office chair.

I have a Sumo Sac, which I picked up from SumoLounge.com that could easily be used to do a little remote web hosting work from the comfort of your own home. The only problem about trying to use it in front of a computer desk, is it might be a little hard to get up and away from the computer.

For the extreme system admin, I have one more goodie. The Tank Chair looks like your office chair with tank wheels, Found at TankChair.com, it is a custom off-road wheelchair that can go anywhere outdoors. Not sure how well it would do at your computer desk – but if anybody wants to give it a shot – sent me some pictures of you in action.

WOW the Tank Chair…. well that is a chair not to be messed with!
What a sight that would be to offer your client a normal seat, then sit yourself in the tank chair, saying “Let’s talk about your website, how do you feel about ____?”
But really, a quality chair makes such a difference. I splurged on a “24-hr rated” type and there is just no comparison to the cheapies. Between a good chair and using a tablet, I experience basically no aches and pains from my 8+ hours at a desk each day.
